About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operating, optimizing, and maintaining assigned production equipment. This role focuses on meeting and exceeding production standards while maintaining product quality, minimizing equipment downtime, and sustaining budgeted waste levels. The technician will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, starting up equipment, monitoring component inventories and safety guards, and maintaining a neat and orderly production environment. Additionally, the role involves monitoring in-process quality, performing required QC checks, supporting upstream and downstream operations, and performing rework as needed. The technician must be able to work optimally in a team environment and perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must pass eye exam before new hires can start - Eye exam will be required contingent upon a hire.
  • Requires 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses; and/or the successful completion of a color vision exam
  • Must be proficient with basic hand tools.
  • Familiar with the following mechanical components, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves.
  • Should also be familiar with some electrical components: sensors, photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, VFD’s.
  • Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
  • Able to work any shift
  • Must have clear and legible handwriting

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance Repair/Mechanical Experience or Proficiency required
  • 2 years mechanical experience preferred
  • 6-12 months of manufacturing experience desired
  • Working with PLC's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics desired

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Starting up equipment and ensuring accurate functioning
  • Monitoring component inventories and safety guards
  • Maintaining a neat and orderly production environment
  • Monitoring in-process quality and addressing issues as needed
  • Performing required Q.C. checks and process challenges
  • Following safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements
  • Supporting upstream and downstream operations
  • Performing rework as required
  • Working optimally in a team environment
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Benefits
