General Assembler - F Shift - 8:00 pm. to 8:00 am 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.
About The Position
The Assembler 1, General position is a 12-month assignment in Sumter, South Carolina. The role involves operating and optimizing assigned departmental production equipment, meeting production standards, maintaining product quality, minimizing equipment downtime, and sustaining budgeted waste levels. The shift is F Shift, from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., with a schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. The pay rate is $15.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and possess a high school diploma or GED. A pre-hire eye exam is required, with specific vision requirements of 20/30 with or without corrective lenses and/or successful completion of a color vision exam.

Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment with the Sharps Department, while meeting quality, productivity, waste, and safety goals.
- Operate all packaging equipment, ensuring that product is properly packed and labeled per specification.
- Participates as team associate in activities required to ensure successful daily operations of the Sharps Department.
- Operates all equipment at acceptable quality and quantity levels.
- Performs quality checks as required by specifications.
- Maintains accurate production, downtime and quality check records.
- Notifies technical personnel of equipment malfunctions.
- Utilizes Batch Numbers as assigned in SAP.
- Stamps Batch Numbers on shelf cartons and case cartons with correct product and batch information.
- Performs general housekeeping duties throughout shift.
- Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality Systems Requirements (QSR).
