  • Hands-on experience maintaining complex equipment, such as semiconductor tools, industrial machinery, or vacuum systems.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or vacuum systems.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom with full gowning.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to follow procedures and document work accurately.
  • Team-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn advanced technical systems.

  • Basic troubleshooting training, such as 5-Why or root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MOCVD reactors.
  • Support chamber cleans, hardware replacements, rebuilds, calibrations, and system resets.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues involving vacuum pumps, mass flow controllers (MFCs), valves, robotics, sensors, heating systems, and gas panels.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and document work accurately.
  • Respond to production tool-down events and work with Equipment Engineers to restore operation quickly.
  • Perform system checks, startup and shutdown procedures, and readiness verifications.
  • Monitor tool performance, log issues, and escalate abnormal trends.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, preventive maintenance records, and equipment history.
  • Follow cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and standard work instructions.
  • Use CMMS systems to track work orders, parts usage, and maintenance status.
  • Work safely around hazardous gases using appropriate PPE; verify gas delivery and exhaust systems operate correctly and report abnormalities.
