About The Position

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Thin Film Maintenance Technician to support its semiconductor manufacturing facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The role performs preventative and corrective maintenance on Thin Film area tool sets, including Novellus Concept 1, AMAT P5000 DCVD, AMAT 5500 Endura, AMAT 5200 RTP, AMAT 5200 WxZ, WJ999R, and Varian 3180/3290 equipment. The position offers development opportunities in a company that designs and manufactures high-performance analog semiconductors. This is a 100% onsite night-shift role with a compressed schedule: three 12-hour shifts (Monday through Wednesday) one week and four 12-hour shifts (Monday through Thursday) the next week. Weekends are off. Candidates must meet applicable U.S. person requirements for access to areas where ITAR-controlled articles or technical data may be present. This includes U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Requirements

AS or BS in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering; military training; or 10+ years of relevant work experience.
5+ years supporting AMAT Endura, AMAT P5000, Novellus Concept 1, Varian 3180/3290, and WJ999R.
At least 5 years of experience in a semiconductor-manufacturing environment and at least 10 years of experience in equipment maintenance.
Strong mechanical skills.
Strong electronic skills.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of SPC and how it is used and implemented in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work on complex electrical systems, including 120-, 240-, and 480-volt systems.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Meet applicable U.S. person requirements for ITAR access.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on tool sets in the Thin Film area.
Support Thin Film equipment, including Novellus Concept 1, AMAT P5000 DCVD, AMAT 5500 Endura, AMAT 5200 RTP, AMAT 5200 WxZ, WJ999R, and Varian 3180/3290.
