About The Position

Tyson Foods is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for their food processing plant in Waterloo. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery used in food processing operations. The technician will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality standards and efficient production. Requirements

Minimum of 6 months experience and/or training in one of the following areas: Mechanical troubleshooting, Electrical/Electronic Troubleshooting, Hydraulic Troubleshooting, PLC Troubleshooting and Navigation, Welding/Fabrication, AC/DC Control Wiring, Motor Control, 3 Phase Wiring, Plumbing, Conveyor Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatic systems.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery used in food processing.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and any additional recommendations.
