About The Position

This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment, buildings, and utilities. Responsibilities include: assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions; ensure that all maintenance personnel are well trained on the most updated version of operating equipment and motivated so maintenance programs and processes can be accomplished in a safe, timely and efficient manner, as well as, other maintenance skills; provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs; monitor operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify issues; establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system, SAP (or current Tyson computer program), for tracking work orders, adequate and appropriate inventory of replacement parts; Other duties include: ensure all safety, health, OSHA, PSM and environmental policies and procedures are in compliance with company policy, as well as, local, state, and federal regulations; monitor and administer purchasing and use of all parts and equipment materials and supplies utilized in the maintenance department; ensure refrigeration system and wastewater systems are well maintained and meet all regulatory guidelines; administer the maintenance budget and ensure the achievement of financial goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent college degree preferred.
  • 6 years of industrial maintenance preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA and HACCP regulations.
  • Standard computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resume required for consideration.
