About The Position

Nortek Data Center Cooling, a Madison Industries company, is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician III for their 2nd shift. This role is crucial for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the facility and equipment used in manufacturing. The technician will be part of a team responsible for planning and executing the installation of production assembly lines and building control systems according to provided prints. The primary goal is to maintain all equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely, contributing to Nortek's mission of creating innovative solutions for a healthier and more productive world.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of plant level operations experience in a high-volume / mixed -model production environment is required.
  • Proven experience as industrial maintenance or similar role.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role within the industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of maintenance techniques and methods. This includes understanding the working of various systems, tools, schematics (electrical, hydraulics, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and how to perform preventive maintenance.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial equipment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, and fluid power print reading.
  • Experience with power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all established safety, health and quality procedures set in place by company policy.
  • Responsible for ensuring the functionality of building systems, equipment, facility repairs routine maintenance, and various repairs.
  • Inspection and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility all while following all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance calls and ensure timely repair.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and other duties.
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on equipment and the facility.
  • Identifies and implements solutions for improvements in safety, quality, and productivity, by utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
  • Performs root cause analysis and resolve problems identified with manufacturing equipment.
  • Identify and repair safety hazards.
  • Install and start-up new equipment and production lines.
  • Complete preventive maintenance task and other daily task assigned.
