Apprentice Maintenance Technicians: We're looking for motivated individuals who want to combine a college education with on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Have a HS Diploma or GED
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to work in a Class 1 clean room environment, wearing a full clean room suit
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 6 hours at a time
  • Ability to work a compressed shift of 12-hours (3 days a week)

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Certified Production Technician (CPT) Program or courses in ACC’s Advanced Manufacturing Program is an advantage, but not required
  • Completion of ACC’s TSI Assessment if needed for math placement (you are highly encouraged to take the assessment as soon as possible to place into Algebra I or Algebra I with support to avoid delays in completing the program)

Responsibilities

  • Train under the guidance of a certified mentor
  • Work through a structured on-the-job training program while attending courses at Austin Community College (ACC).
