About The Position

The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the operation and maintenance of equipment in the assigned area. This role involves maintaining a weekly schedule of planned activities for the crew, balancing schedules with available resources, and coordinating scheduled maintenance custody of equipment with manufacturing and logistics. The supervisor will control and report on equipment status, PM completion, unscheduled overtime, and other equipment maintenance measures. Effective communication skills with the crew, peers, and other groups within the company are essential. This role requires leading and influencing the analysis of equipment or systems to determine malfunctions and coordinating proper repair actions. Findings will be discussed with the maintenance group, area operators, leadership, and engineers to find immediate and long-term solutions. The supervisor ensures technical availability for tools by developing and assigning appropriate staffing and resources, and coordinates assistance with engineering resources to improve tool recovery and technician knowledge. Escalation of issues to fab management is necessary to maintain critical communications and secure resources outside of immediate control. The role includes coaching, counseling, and providing performance feedback, influencing team selection and direction, setting realistic objectives, and motivating others. Conflict resolution within and between teams is also a key responsibility. The supervisor will review all records of repairs, calibrations, tests, preventative maintenance, spare parts, and procedures, and maintain 5S standards in work areas and shops. Promoting safe practices, and the licensing and training of technicians are also critical. A thorough knowledge and understanding of company manufacturing and engineering processes and procedures, including workplace hazards and hazardous waste handling, is required. Staying up-to-date on applicable trainings and serving as an expert on SAP-PPM transactions and functions, including year-end/year-start SAP functions, is also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in engineering technology, microelectronics technology, facilities maintenance, electrical / electronic technology or management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience of related industry experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, operating procedures, maintenance manuals and other documents.
  • Ability to write standard operational procedures, technical manuals and other documents.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and written with individuals / groups of both internal and external customers.
  • Able to write and review routine reports and correspondence.
  • Able to interpret and draw engineering drawings and sketches.
  • Proficiency in basic math, algebra, geometry, and standard engineering formulas.
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management software programs such SAP-PPM.
  • Proficiency with office software including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to effectively apply and coach acquired knowledge and skills in order to optimize troubleshooting, utilization, and effectiveness of equipment and systems.
  • Ability to logically deal with multiple job tasks, and schedule staff activities.
  • Ability to work with people from different ethnic backgrounds individually and in a team environment.
  • Regularly required to walk, use hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, tools, controls.
  • To use hands and arms to reach.
  • Frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and wear cleanroom attire.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and wear protective gear and / or breathing devices.

  • Required to remain up to date on applicable trainings.
  • Serve as an expert on SAP-PPM transactions and functions.
  • Perform year-end / year-start SAP functions to close and generate blanket and statistical work orders.
