About The Position

This role is critical in directing a preventative maintenance program to minimize costs and maximize equipment usage. The position involves detailed record-keeping of all vehicles and equipment, organization and tracking of expenses, and administering a testing and inspection program to ensure quality, suitability, and compliance with specifications. The manager will also direct a quantity and quality control program to maintain satisfactory work performance levels, plan and organize work to meet objectives efficiently, and ensure safe and secure operations in accordance with the highest standards of health, safety, security, and government statutory requirements. Additionally, the role involves directing and motivating employees, acting as a mentor, and ensuring compliance with company attendance standards. Safety and security are the responsibility of every employee, and attendance at mandatory training is required.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency.
  • Five years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in an industrial vehicle operation.
  • Two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
  • Must be able to maximize fleet utilization and ensure maximum shop productivity.
  • Extensive management and/or support service experience, preferably in a ground equipment environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills balanced with a high level of confidence to influence and present at all levels.
  • Flexible, determined to succeed and self-motivated.
  • All applicants must hold the requisite employment authority to work in the USA.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must have a current valid US driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • College-level courses in mechanical engineering, business administration, transportation management, and business management.
  • Previous experience in aviation and/or ground support equipment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as a mentor to other employees.
  • Safety and security are the responsibility of each employee.
  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
  • Comply with the company’s attendance/tardiness standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
