About The Position

MACOM is seeking a proactive Equipment Logistics Technician to manage all logistical aspects for the equipment engineering team. Reporting to equipment engineering management, this role supports equipment engineering and technicians. Key duties include inventory control, ordering, shipping and receiving of parts, and managing process gases. Growth potential includes performing preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment, assisting with material replenishment in semiconductor processing, and maintaining high-purity gas cylinders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in inventory management, including cycle counting and auditing.
  • Technical experience using Microsoft Excel and other data management systems.
  • Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize issues and tasks according to production needs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess good keyboard and computer skills.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in awkward positions as necessary.
  • Walk, stand, or sit for up to 8 hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or data entry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory control, updating the database to reflect on-site parts.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) for spare parts inventory management.
  • Use SAP resources planning software for ordering parts.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering to define min/max quantities for critical spare parts.
  • Manage high purity gas inventory.
  • Maintain necessary records, reports, written and verbal pass downs, and reorder parts.
  • Fulfill orders and deliver parts to equipment technicians.
  • Organize the stockroom area, including sorting and labeling parts and shelving in designated locations.
  • Proactively drive safe practices within the factory and adhere to site safety policies.
  • Work occasionally in a cleanroom environment wearing cleanroom garments.
  • Demonstrate self-starter initiative, independently learn, and manage time by priorities.
  • Communicate daily events, directions, written and verbally, through logs and pass downs.
  • Excel in a changing environment, working cooperatively with others to meet common goals in support of production and engineering.
  • Positively influence and support others to succeed in their roles.
