About The Position
The Equipment Inspector thoroughly inspects trucks and trailers to ensure they are safe and compliant for operation. This role offers an opportunity to learn the company’s transportation operation and begin or grow a career in transportation. The schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pay is $17.00–$18.00.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic trailer knowledge or experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers entering and exiting the yard.
- Inspect tires, lights, and other exterior components for safe operating conditions.
- Inspect trailers arriving from Mexico for damage or mechanical defects.
- Ensure equipment enters and departs in a timely and authorized manner.
