About The Position

This position supports daily yard operations by managing equipment staging, inventory documentation, and customer interactions. The role ensures a clean, organized, and efficient yard environment while delivering a high-quality experience for both internal teams and external customers.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass background check, physical exam and drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in yard operations, equipment handling, or a related field preferred; familiarity with construction or heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills and comfort using mobile apps/systems (e.g., Record360, DBS) for documentation and coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly upon arrival and maintain a friendly, calm, and attentive demeanor.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively regarding machine prep status and timing.
  • Ensure all required customer paperwork is signed, recorded, and stored appropriately.
  • Receive, barcode, and reposition new and used machines as needed.
  • Remove customer stickers from used equipment.
  • Stage machines for customer pickup, shift preps, and nightly parts trucks—within 30 minutes of internal notification.
  • Perform weekly inventory scans and reconciliations.
  • Complete shipping/receiving records in DBS.
  • Send photos of received used machines to the Manager.
  • Keep the yard clean and organized.
  • Conduct daily yard walks to check for open doors, misplaced equipment, damage, or safety concerns.
  • Respond promptly to phone calls and text messages.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams to support smooth operations.
