About The Position

Join a Team that Builds to Last – Conco Construction! Conco Construction is seeking an Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. This role is vital in keeping our equipment and operations running smoothly by providing on-site service, repair, and maintenance for a variety of heavy construction equipment. The ideal Equipment Field Mechanic candidate will be self-motivated, safety-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

CDL preferred but not required
Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, field technician, or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engines, and welding/fabrication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy and light construction equipment in the field, including loaders, excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, and trucks
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using proper diagnostic tools
Communicate effectively with superintendents and shop personnel regarding equipment status and needs
Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized service truck and work area
