This role involves maintaining various wafer processing tools under the direction of management, equipment engineers, and senior technicians. The technician will be responsible for running equipment to validate corrective actions, performing both reactive and preventive maintenance on wafer and assembly processing tools to ensure optimal uptime, and maintaining all support equipment. The position requires tracking, recording, and communicating maintenance progress, training new team members, and applying troubleshooting skills to repair common failures. Additionally, the technician will assist in data collection for resolving recurring equipment issues, utilize training materials for personal improvement, and participate in team meetings for continuous improvement. The role also includes being a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and collaborating with other departments. Travel, both domestically and internationally, may be required.
