The Optics Fabrication group in Wilton, CT creates precision optical components for all of our DUV and EUV lithography systems. Our optics are used in various internal systems such as wafer alignment, wafer leveling, inspection, stage measurement, reticle manipulation, and metrology measurements. The Equipment Engineering group directly supports all of Optics Fabrication by delivering safe, precise, reliable equipment with maximum uptime availability for Production to meet their quality and throughput goals. Optical fabrication processes rely on stable equipment for proper execution, an Equipment Engineer must maximize machine availability using the following skill sets: Proper equipment selection based on reliability and maintainability, Creating preventative maintenance plans and supporting their execution, Defining critical spares for quick response to unplanned downtime, Defining standard maintenance procedures to maximize maintenance effectiveness, Plan strategic upgrades and identifying end of life equipment, Hands on support of equipment modifications and upgrades, Assisting the Maintenance Teams with advanced troubleshooting.
