About The Position

This role involves supporting advanced Film Deposition tools used in semiconductor manufacturing. The Equipment Engineer will be responsible for designing, procuring, installing, and testing modifications to improve the performance of semiconductor experimental reactors. The position requires performing a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assembly operations, following specific methods and sequences. The engineer will also determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures, and assist in product enhancement and development activities. The role involves using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data for adjustments, and determining methods to control or modify manufacturing processes to establish quality standards. Collaboration with engineers and technicians is essential, as is preparing technical reports and interfacing with external vendors. Handling contaminated parts with appropriate PPE for reactor rebuilding is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree
Must be legally authorized to work in US without sponsorship.
Proficient in using a Digital Multimeter
Experienced with wide range of hand tools and power tools used for assembling hardware components
Able to read and create electrical diagrams
Possess basic knowledge of safely handling acids and solvents
Understanding of vacuum systems fundamentals and integral hardware components to achieve and measure low vacuum state
Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required.
May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric current or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Design, procure, install, test modifications to improve performance of semiconductor experimental reactors
Perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.
Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, welding and fitting on assembly units.
Determine and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
Assist in product enhancement and product development activities related to our advanced Film Deposition tools used in the manufacturing of semiconductors
Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process to establish quality standards.
Work closely with engineers and technical to support a team environment.
Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
Interface with external vendors on outsourced products and services
Handle contaminated parts, with appropriate PPE, to rebuilt reactors when implementing new modifications
