As a Texas Instruments Equipment Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team oriented environment. You will be responsible for studying equipment performance reliability, driving cost of ownership to optimized performance, and overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. You will also be responsible for evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products. This role requires keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues, and working with equipment vendors to sustain and enhance equipment performance. You will use data to make intelligent improvements to overall equipment performance, compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment specifications, and provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Additionally, you will provide technical support to indirect technicians and the operations team through the definition of operation specifications and training aids, establish action plans, programs, and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process, define and write preventative maintenance schedules, and manage projects that result in the timely execution of continuous improvement actions that resolve issues impacting fab performance metrics. You will also support teams in addressing fab projects such as safety, quality, equipment availability or efficiency, and provide progress reports on tools, processes, and goals.
