About The Position

Schedule all Water Trucks, Lowboy Tractors, Flatbed Trucks and Escort vehicles on a daily basis to supply all needs of Supervision in the field. Ensure transport vehicles leave the yard on time every morning withing correspondence of DOT and Safety requirements. Maintain accuracy of dispatch in the software system of all the equipment being moved to jobsites, stored in the yards, and rented by equipment department. Ensure all rental equipment is returned as a priority from jobsite to rental companies. Route all transport vehicles to complete pick-ups and deliveries in the most expedient manner possible. Schedule all drivers for continuous training concerning DOT and Safety requirements. Weekly Toolbox Talks Defensive Driver Training Escort Certification Forklift Training Any other training as necessary Monitor Street Eagle Tracking System throughout the day to ensure peak productivity. Input Driver’s payroll into Heavy Job and compare timecards against Street Eagle to confirm accuracy. Ensure driver compliance with all company policies, state and national DOT policies. Institute progressive discipline in order to ensure compliance. Constantly evaluate all drivers for safe driving practices and take measures to insure the same. Ensure all drivers are performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by DOT and are providing documentation of post-trip inspections to the Maintenance Department on a daily basis. Schedule and prioritize the daily Lowboy and Flatbed move list in accordance with the directives of the General Superintendent and the Assistant General Superintendents. Schedule all vehicles under his/her supervision to be washed at a minimum of bi-weekly. Also, through monthly inspections ensure drivers are keeping the interiors of the vehicles clean and in order and all required documentation is in place. (Insurance cards, registration, permits, etc.) The Dispatcher – Transport Vehicles is required (but not limited to) the accomplishment of the tasks listed above. Any and all other tasks as assigned by the Dispatch Superintendent, General Superintendent or any other upper level management will be completed in the most expedient and efficient manner possible.
