About The Position

Under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Equipment Dispatch, the Equipment Dispatcher is responsible for the efficient coordination, scheduling, and dispatch of equipment to meet the operational needs of Geneva Rock Products, Inc. This role is essential in ensuring timely delivery of equipment, maximizing utilization, and supporting the success of projects company wide.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of experience in the construction industry is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of heavy construction equipment, logistics, and fleet coordination
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with field and office teams
  • Willingness and ability to learn equipment dispatching software and related systems
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and ensure an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Align with Company Vision and Core Values: Champion and uphold the company's vision and core values, setting an example for team members.
  • Equipment Scheduling and Dispatch: Schedule and dispatch construction equipment to ensure timely and efficient deployment to job sites.
  • Equipment Tracking: Track and update equipment movements and locations across various operating systems.
  • Equipment Readiness Verification: Ensure equipment readiness by coordinating inspections, maintenance, and communication with the shop and field teams.
  • Job Coordination: Coordinate with job sites to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Staging Yard Management: support the organization of equipment within staging yards; lead efforts to improve yard layout, processes, and efficiency.
  • PO Receiving and Coordination. Coordinate PO receiving and processing in D365, ensuring purchase orders are accurately received, documented, and updated in a timely manner.
  • Driving Record Maintenance: Maintain a valid driver's license and ensure an insurable driving record.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Help ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory policies; foster a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as needed to support operational goals.
