About The Position

This individual provides pickup, transport, delivery, and customer handoff support for turf, compact utility, and select small agricultural equipment. They safely deliver equipment and help customers understand its basic operation, controls, safety features, attachments, and functionality. The role represents the dealership and supports a positive customer experience through communication, product familiarity, and operational support. Equipment may also be transferred between store locations as needed. The position may occasionally assist the service department and help organize equipment on the lot.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification.
• Medical certification card.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to read maps and navigate the delivery region efficiently.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to function well as part of a team.
• Diligent attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to operate equipment and instruct customers on its basic functions.
• Customer service skills to answer customer questions about equipment.

Nice To Haves

• 0–2 years of delivery experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an equipment orientation at delivery, explaining and demonstrating basic operation, controls, safety features, attachments, and functionality as needed.
• Properly load and unload equipment and secure it for safe travel.
• Track delivery trucks and trailers and check that they are functioning properly.
• Follow instructions for pickup, transport, and delivery of turf, compact utility, and select small agricultural equipment for the dealership and/or customers.
• Account for distance traveled while performing assigned duties.
• Maintain pickup and delivery records and obtain requested signatures and receipts; complete sales accounting documentation as needed.
• Maintain vehicles in safe operating condition and advise a supervisor or manager when repairs are needed.
• Obtain permits appropriate to job duties.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of relevant equipment to support customer deliveries and basic operational instruction.
• Contact customers to schedule delivery date, location, and time.
• Record required customer information.
• Occasionally assist or fill in for the service department when needed.
• Organize and rearrange equipment on the lot as needed.
• Clean or tidy tools and equipment in the shop area.
• Support management in pursuing corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.
• Participate in business and department activities that support a positive customer experience.
• Follow safety rules and regulations and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive, professional working relationships with peers, management, and support resources, with a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
