About The Position

The Equipment Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting equipment, fixtures, and related materials to and from warehouse and store locations. This role involves assisting with loading, unloading, receiving, staging, and organizing deliveries. The driver will also connect, remove, install, and disconnect equipment as needed for store support, projects, and relocations. A key part of the job is maintaining equipment through inspection, cleaning, basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs. The position requires successful completion of training and operation of powered equipment for material handling, such as forklifts. The driver will use various tools and equipment to support delivery and installation activities, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and accurately. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, accurate records, delivery logs, and equipment tracking are also essential. The role includes conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensuring vehicles are maintained to company standards. Communication with various teams regarding scheduling, delivery status, and equipment needs is crucial. The driver will also support general warehouse operations as needed and identify opportunities for personal growth with supervisor guidance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–5 years of experience in delivery, warehouse operations, equipment handling, or a related field preferred.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to connect, disconnect, transport, and handle equipment safely.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment, use hand and power tools, and perform basic mechanical tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and the ability to work independently in a high priority, demanding business environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification may be required.
  • Travel throughout the entire Texas Business Unit is required.
  • Overnight stays will be required from time to time based on business needs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or extended shifts when necessary.
  • The employee must be able to lift, move, push, and pull equipment or materials weighing up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for transporting equipment, fixtures, and related materials to and from warehouse and store locations throughout the TXBU.
  • Assists with loading, unloading, receiving, staging, and organizing incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Connects, removes, installs, and disconnects equipment as required for store support, projects, and equipment relocations.
  • Maintains equipment by inspecting, cleaning, and performing basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed.
  • Must successfully pass required training and operate powered equipment for material handling, including forklift or other warehouse equipment as applicable.
  • Uses hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment to support delivery and installation activities.
  • Ensures all deliveries and removals are completed safely, accurately, and in coordination with the appropriate manager or project lead.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records, delivery logs, equipment tracking, and required documentation.
  • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensures company vehicles are maintained to company standards.
  • Assists in maintaining all vehicles and delivery trucks in proper working order and reports maintenance needs promptly.
  • Ensures equipment is not delivered, removed, or transferred without proper notification and approval from the overseeing manager.
  • Communicates effectively with warehouse, facilities, project, and store teams regarding scheduling, delivery status, and equipment needs.
  • Supports warehouse operations as needed, including inventory organization, equipment preparation, and general warehouse upkeep.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as needed.
  • Identifies self-growth opportunities and creates plans with direct supervisor to advance.
