About The Position
ALK Source Materials, Inc., a leading manufacturer of quality allergenic biological source materials and a member of the global ALK-Abello’ group of companies, is recruiting for an Equipment and Utilities Support Specialist I. This role is crucial for ensuring equipment, utilities, and facilities are production-ready. The position involves facilities support such as painting, patching, and floor repairs, as well as maintenance of custom pharmaceutical processing equipment, lyophilizers, autoclaves, and temperature-controlled environmental chambers. A key aspect of this role is the timely documentation of all activities within the established maintenance database and associated forms.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technically minded.
- 0-2 years related work experience.
- Genuine desire to contribute to an exceptional team.
- Thorough communication skills.
- Teamwork skills.
- Ability to comfortably work around deceased stinging insects, allergenic materials, hazardous chemicals and solvents and laboratory reagents.
Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment, utilities, and facilities are ready for production use.
- Perform facilities support including painting, patching, and floor repairs as needed.
- Maintain custom pharmaceutical processing equipment, lyophilizers, autoclaves, and temperature-controlled environmental chambers.
- Document all activities within the established maintenance database and associated forms in a timely manner.
