About The Position

As an equipment maintenance tech II, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair equipment and machinery, and production process equipment in accordance with specifications, operating manual, schematics and drawings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Reading, writing and communicating in English.
  • Training entry level technicians.
  • Efficient in troubleshooting and repairing 75% of production equipment.
  • Knowledge of equipment desired and understanding of preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Good understanding of various machine set-up and equipment operations.
  • Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete work assignments for the week with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills.
  • Must be able to communicate well with other Technicians and Engineers for direction, to include shift to shift pass down.
  • Ability to share technical observations with other Technicians.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Able to comply with requirements for respirator usage.
  • Ability to lift material and equipment weighing up to 45lbs throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in confined places.
  • Applicants must have valid work authorization that does not now and/or will not in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in lieu of education can be considered.
  • Associates Degree with 2-5 years related experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety, quality procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose infrequent problems with processes and equipment with minimal direction or documentation.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and improvements; perform moderately complex procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
  • Other related duties as directed by management.
