General Function: Fully responsible for leading all programming involving horses, caring for 10-20 head of horses, and maintaining equipment. Will supervise and evaluate assistant wrangler staff. Will develop and lead curriculum for 1 week riding programs as well as daily trail rides. Ultimately, will maintain the safety of all participants and horses. Physical and Mental Requirements Physically fit and able to hike, walk, stand, bend and lift comfortably over the course of a day. Visually and mentally alert to recognize potential hazards and accidents. Physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer emergency care effectively. e q Must possess a cooperative spirit and be committed to character development by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility to campers, staff, and program participants. Manage a safe and positive equestrian experience for campers and staff. Show proficiency in western riding, horse care, grooming, tacking, and all other appropriate skills.
