The Equal Opportunity Investigator and Title VI Coordinator is primarily responsible for the prompt, impartial and thorough response to allegations of discrimination on the basis of protected characteristics race, color, religion, genetics, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, ancestry, veteran or disability status from faculty, staff, and/or students. This role reports to the Assistant Vice President /Title IX Coordinator within the Office for University Equity and Compliance. The position involves conducting intake meetings, gathering facts, assessing compliance, maintaining documentation, writing reports, serving as a point of contact, acting as a neutral party, advising parties of their rights, promoting organizational compliance, facilitating training, assisting with database maintenance, communicating with university officials, maintaining confidentiality, consulting with the AVP, collaborating with key partners, and staying updated on relevant legislation and best practices. Other duties as assigned.
