This is highly responsible administrative and managerial work directing and supervising the activities of the Equal Opportunity Office. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for supervising operational activities, including equal opportunity programs, promoting fair employment practices, ensuring equal access for individuals with disabilities to County programs and services, administrating the Human Rights and Wage Recovery Ordinances, overseeing a comprehensive complaint resolution process, other equal opportunity matters, including organizational compliance with civil rights laws and federal reporting requirements, and monitoring of the County's hiring and selection process. Work is performed under the general direction of a higher-level supervisor and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and observation of results obtained.
