About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate Degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, and/or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying access permissions and following post orders for weapons handling, visitor processing, and incident response.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd management and/or access control, and completing required reports, logs, and other assigned duties.
