Requirements

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess a Corrections Officer License.
• Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associate's degree or 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
• Support law enforcement-facing operations by maintaining a visible presence, reporting security-related concerns, and following established procedures for alarms, emergencies, and/or suspicious activity.
