Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government law enforcement location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required logs, and coordinate with law enforcement personnel and emergency responders as directed.
