Epitaxy Process Development Engineer (SM1)

Texas Instruments•Sherman, TX

About The Position

Texas Instruments is hiring an Epitaxy Process Development Engineer in Sherman to develop, integrate, and qualify Epi processes for LBC11 flows. The processes must operate at nanometer precision and are not yet established in production at SMFAB. The role will enable TI’s technology ramp from development to high-volume manufacturing, and the developed Epi processes will run on every wafer at SMFAB. The engineer will drive process and device improvements through characterization, testing, design of experiments, data analysis, and simulation. The role involves collaboration with process, integration, reliability, packaging, and test engineers; working with product groups to optimize performance against critical final device parameters; and partnering with vendors on improvements to productivity, cycle time, process stability, and equipment or process uptime. The successful candidate will plan effectively, manage schedules and multiple concurrent tasks, meet deadlines, lead technical discussions in their area of expertise, communicate project status and actions clearly, and work effectively across organizational boundaries on diverse teams.
