About The Position

Clarivate Analytics is seeking an Epidemiologist to conduct research using online grey literature datasets such as NHANES, HCUP, cancer registries, and government survey data to summarize current information on prevalence. The role involves forecasting disease numbers through analysis, suggesting proxy data sources, and developing imputation or extrapolation models when country-specific sources are unavailable. The Epidemiologist will also assist with other company programs and units, such as maintaining and enhancing a sources database and contributing to new products and proprietary consulting projects globally. Additionally, the position requires conducting literature reviews to support ad-hoc client requests, supporting the Epi Production team in publishing syndicated epidemiology reports, and collaborating with Clarivate Disease or Therapy Experts to develop methodology strategies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • 2 years of experience in an epidemiologist, public health, or biostatistics-related role.
  • 2 years of experience conducting systematic literature review of grey literature.
  • 3 years of experience with MS Office including MS Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • 2 years of experience with epidemiology methodology, forecasting the incidence and prevalence of various disease states including survival analysis and risk-factor based modelling.
  • 2 years of experience analyzing large datasets including NHANES and HCUP.
  • 2 years of experience with external clients, customer interactions, and delivering presentations to external clients or customers.
  • 2 years of experience conducting SAS analysis and utilizing SAS statistical software.
  • Related experience must include working in private consulting companies, clinical research organizations (CROs) or pharmaceutical support research companies; alternatively, the employer will accept experience in a government setting in the statistics or epidemiology analysis department.
  • Experience utilizing advanced excel functions.
  • Experience with real-world data (RWD) research.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research using online grey literature datasets to summarize current information on prevalence.
  • Forecast numbers (via analyses) for a variety of diseases.
  • Suggest use of proxy data sources or develop imputation or extrapolation models when country-specific sources are not available.
  • Assist with other programs and units within Company, for instance, by helping to maintain and enhance a sources database and by contributing to new products and proprietary consulting projects globally.
  • Conduct literature reviews to support ad-hoc requests from clients for custom or managed service projects.
  • Support the Epi Production team including in uploading, aligning, and publishing syndicated epidemiology reports on the Insights Platform.
  • Collaborate with Clarivate Disease or Therapy Experts to develop methodology strategies as needed.
