About The Position

Harvey Vogel Manufacturing is seeking an Epicor Kinetic Technical Specialist / Developer to enhance their ERP systems. This role is crucial for daily business operations, impacting everything from the shop floor to the front office. The specialist will be responsible for driving the adoption of Epicor best practices, identifying and leveraging underused features, and collaborating with various departments to improve system functionality and user experience. Key responsibilities include developing and deploying custom solutions within Kinetic, leading system upgrades and enhancements, and ensuring seamless integration between the ERP system and other business applications. The role also involves creating practical user guides, building reports and dashboards for data-driven decision-making, and acting as a primary support for day-to-day ERP challenges. Additionally, the specialist will train users effectively, proactively identify and resolve system gaps, and contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and modernization efforts to support the company's growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Epicor Kinetic development.
  • Proven ability to improve processes-not just maintain systems.
  • Epicor Kinetic expertise: BAQs, Dashboards, Data Definitions, Report Styles.
  • SSRS reporting.
  • BPMs, Functions, Application Studio.
  • Strong SQL Server and C# skills.
  • Experience integrating ERP with other business systems.
  • Practical problem solver-you fix what matters.
  • Strong communicator who can work with both IT and the shop floor.
  • Organized, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Focused on results, not just activity.

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-company or multi-currency ERP experience.
  • Experience with Epicor modules (Warehouse, QuickShip, DocStar, Financials).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes: Inventory, costing, purchasing, production, and shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure systems talk to each other (ERP, CRM, PLM, etc.).
  • Create clear, usable procedures.
  • Build BAQs, dashboards, and SSRS reports that actually get used.
  • Deliver insights that help leaders make faster, better decisions.
  • Improve visibility across inventory, costing, production, and financials.
  • Be a go-to problem solver for day-to-day ERP challenges.
  • Train users in a way that sticks-clear, simple, and practical.
  • Identify gaps and proactively fix them before they become issues.
  • Help evaluate new tools and technologies.
  • Support integration and modernization initiatives.
