About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Epic Security Administrator is a senior level technical role responsible for the design, implementation, and oversight of user access and security with the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system. This position ensures that access to Epic applications is provisioned appropriately and securely across clinical, financial, and administrative teams, while ensuring ongoing compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Epic security administrator serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for Epic security and identity management, and requires advanced knowledge of Epic security structures, strong analytical and technical skills, and experience collaborating across clinical, operational and IT teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Health Informatics, or related field (or 8 years equivalent experience).
  • Epic Security Certification required (or obtained within six months).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Epic security administration or healthcare identity and access management.
  • Experience with Epic’s Hyperspace and security tools such as UserWeb, Chronicles, and Master File Maintenance.
  • Deep understanding of Epic security model, including templates, user roles, and SER/EMP records.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of audit and compliance frameworks such as HITRUST or NIST.
