Epic Project Manager
About The Position
The Epic Implementation Lead provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Epic implementation initiatives, serving as the primary project management and application partner for Clinical Applications Managers and Directors. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Epic implementation projects across Inpatient (IP) and Ambulatory (Amb) clinical applications while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, project timelines, budget, and quality standards. The Implementation Lead collaborates closely with Clinical Applications Managers and Directors to provide mentorship, project governance, and day-to-day leadership for implementation teams. The role ensures successful delivery of Epic initiatives by proactively managing risks, resolving issues, facilitating stakeholder communication, and promoting best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Epic implementation experience
- Project management skills
- Experience with Inpatient (IP) and Ambulatory (Amb) clinical applications
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Lead complex Epic implementation, optimization, and upgrade initiatives for Inpatient and Ambulatory clinical applications.
- Serve as the primary project management partner for Clinical Applications Managers and Directors.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including analysts, clinical stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership.
