About The Position

At Memorial Sloan Kettering, the Principal Portfolio Manager for Cross-Domain Programs builds and stewards strategic programs across Patient Experience, Clinical Decision Support, AI, Health Systems Research, and Questionnaires. This role goes beyond maintaining system inventories—it defines program vision, establishes governance frameworks, and drives adoption, ensuring that cross-domain initiatives enhance how patients engage with their care, how clinicians access actionable insights, and how research informs continuous improvement. This role delivers cohesion, scalability, and measurable impact in support of MSK's mission to end cancer for life.

Requirements

7–10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in healthcare IT.
Minimum 2+ years managing Epic projects or system implementations.
Epic certification is required
Strategic thinking with the ability to connect enterprise objectives to executable delivery plans.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building with clinical, operational, and technical leaders.
Advanced problem-solving and risk management skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Clear, influential communication and governance leadership to drive alignment and decision-making.

Nice To Haves

PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Builds new programs from concept through operationalization, defining scope, stakeholders, governance, and success metrics
Develops and maintains program roadmaps that align with MSK's strategic priorities and HSO vision.
Identifies opportunities where cross-domain programs can address unmet needs or connect disparate initiatives
Facilitate Epic governance forums to drive prioritization, approvals, risk management, and delivery decisions.
Serves as the connective tissue between clinical, operational, research, and technical stakeholders
Tracks and reports on program health, adoption metrics, and outcomes to leadership
Manage intake, prioritization, and sequencing of Epic enhancements across relevant domains.
Works across domain portfolio managers to identify dependencies, shared opportunities, and integration points
Represents cross-domain programs in enterprise planning, release management, and governance forums
Partner with providers, clinicians, administrators and the HSO team to align system functionality with operational needs.
Carry initiatives through the full Epic lifecycle including design, build, testing, training, and adoption.
