About The Position
The Epic Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Epic Cogito and enterprise business intelligence technologies. This position develops complex reports, dashboards, data models, SQL queries, extracts, and analytics solutions utilizing Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles, Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, and third-party business intelligence platforms. The Business Intelligence Developer partners with Information Technology, Data Governance, operational leadership, clinical departments, and revenue cycle teams to transform enterprise healthcare data into meaningful, actionable information that supports operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and strategic decision-making. This role also owns the facilitation of data validation with end users to ensure reports, dashboards, extracts, and analytics outputs are accurate, meaningful, and aligned with operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Three (3) years of software development, database development, or business intelligence development experience.
- Experience developing enterprise SQL solutions.
- Healthcare analytics experience.
- EPIC assessment completion.
- EPIC certification must be obtained and maintained according to organizational requirements.

- EPIC certification is mandatory and must be completed within the scope of the project timeline.
Responsibilities
- Design, development, testing, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Epic Cogito and enterprise business intelligence technologies.
- Develop complex reports, dashboards, data models, SQL queries, extracts, and analytics solutions utilizing Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles, Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, and third-party business intelligence platforms.
- Partner with Information Technology, Data Governance, operational leadership, clinical departments, and revenue cycle teams to transform enterprise healthcare data into meaningful, actionable information.
- Facilitate data validation with end users to ensure reports, dashboards, extracts, and analytics outputs are accurate, meaningful, and aligned with operational needs.
- Provide on-call coverage for weeknights and weekends after project go-live to support critical issues that impact patient care, billing, or revenue cycle operations.
- Travel will be required depending on the project phase and business needs, including air travel with multi-day visits.
