About The Position

Epic Business Intelligence Developers (BIDs) create analytics content for end-users and third parties who require Epic data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or healthcare field or 4 years related experience in healthcare or business-related field
• 2 years of experience with SQL and relational database concepts
• Proficiency and demonstrated experience with analytics tools.
• Strong verbal and written correspondence skills
• Strong coordination, facilitation, consultation, and conflict resolution skills
• Fundamental experience troubleshooting technical issues.
• Operate and communicate while under pressure.
• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
• Existing knowledge of healthcare culture, personnel, and processes

Responsibilities

• Configure and test Epic-released and Foundation System content for all applications, including Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, RadarCogito SQL.
• Create content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Write SQL and configure Radar settings for custom SQL metrics.
• Review peer reports for validity and modify existing reports.
• Distribute analytics content to data consumers and work with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers.
• Maintain the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records.
• Test analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments.
• Review upgrade documentation related to Cogito features and determine how to implement the changes.
• Build and maintain Cubes, Extracts, SlicerDicer custom filters, Third-party BI tools, and Epic data in Caboodle.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
