About The Position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is seeking Epic Applications Specialists to join their growing Epic Team. These specialists will help end-users become more effective using Epic's Electronic Health Records (EHR) system applications and computing tools by leveraging strong business application skills, technical expertise, and general knowledge of departmental business areas and information technology practices. The role involves supporting multiple Epic applications, requiring frequent classroom instruction, ongoing end-user rounding, and the completion of multiple Epic credentials. This position is suited for individuals who excel in dynamic environments and are dedicated to improving clinical and operational workflows through the effective utilization of Epic systems.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of full-time experience in which the primary responsibility is supporting Epic applications (i.e., troubleshoot; assist and instruct end-users in effective use; resolve problems).
  • Two (2) years of full-time experience in which the primary responsibility is supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) business applications (i.e., troubleshoot; assist and instruct end-users in effective use; resolve problems).
  • Must pass a background investigation, physical examination, and verification of employment history and education.
  • Must indicate shift availability.
  • Candidates requiring visa sponsorship will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Epic functionality in any app as an end-user.
  • Six (6) months experience in a clinical or health care organization role.
  • Experience providing technical assistance, training, and support in the use of an electronic medical record (Preferably Epic).
  • Currently hold an Epic Credential/Certification or willing to complete a six-week program to obtain credential in assigned application.
  • Experience coordinating training sessions and related activities.
  • Experience delivering technical and/or non-technical classroom training.
  • Proficiency in entering, tracking, and resolving ServiceNow incidents.
  • Background in providing daily system support to staff including troubleshooting problems with the system to ensure proper resolution and functionality for end users.
  • Participated in the Epic Superuser program.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with computer training business partners to maintain effectiveness of training programs.
  • Participation in 1 or more Epic implementations as an end-user or Epic trainer.
