About The Position

SolutionHealth is seeking an Epic Application Analyst for the Professional Billing applications, specifically requiring PB Admin Certification or PB Claims Certification and Epic Build experience. The IT department is described as diverse, strategic, and innovative, focusing on patients, community, clinicians, outcomes, safety, and quality. This is an exciting time for SolutionHealth as they advance their technology platforms. The Epic Applications Analyst role involves implementing, developing, and maintaining the Epic system and associated third-party systems. Analysts work at various levels (I-IV) with increasing responsibilities and independence, providing on-call support, interacting with clients, and ensuring compliance with software lifecycle standards. As they progress, they gain deeper knowledge of the Epic platform, mentor junior analysts, and lead projects to improve patient safety and quality initiatives. The role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to build partnerships with customers and colleagues at all levels. The general schedule is Monday-Friday, Eastern time business hours with some flexibility, and participation in an on-call rotation is required. This position requires an appropriate virtual home office environment, working remotely, and routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasional travel may be required for Go-Live installations or training.

Requirements

  • Epic Professional Billing with PB Admin or PB Claims Certification Required.
  • Epic Build experience required.
  • Must participate in completing the Epic Sphinx test.
  • All analyst levels require prior Epic experience (end user or analyst).
  • Experience as analyst implementing and testing vendor packaged software applications OR healthcare operational experience in area of application preferred or required depending on Analyst level.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Active vendor training status required.
  • Can work under pressure with competing priorities and rapidly changing situations.
  • Must be able to complete work through continuous use of a computer to perform job responsibilities.
  • Must be able to communicate frequently and effectively with others verbally, in writing, and by virtual meetings (including camera).

Nice To Haves

  • If an applicant has only one of these credentials (PB Admin or PB Claims Certification), they may be required to obtain the additional certification/proficiency within their first six months in the role.
  • Epic Application Analysts 2-4 require current Epic training status (certification, accreditation, and/or proficiency) in primary application required, with a combination of current Epic training statuses in additional area(s) in application maintenance and development required in upper levels.
  • Ideal candidates will possess strong experience as analyst with expert knowledge and experience in leading system analysis with special emphasis on system methodologies, projects management and business process reengineering related to information systems required.

  • Create and maintain thorough documentation, develop test scripts, and ensure builds meet departmental standards and end user approval.
