About The Position

UW MEDICINE IT SERVICES has an outstanding job opportunity for an Epic Applications Analyst 3 – ASAP position. This is a 100% remote opportunity with a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, with core hours of 08:00 – 17:00 (PST). The role requires participation in the team's on-call schedule. UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) supports all UW Medicine institutions, including Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus, UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus, UW Medicine Primary Care, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest. ITS is responsible for the support, maintenance, and implementation of infrastructure and applications that further the UW Medicine mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Systems, Math, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must currently have Epic – ASAP certification.
  • Priority will be given to candidates who have Epic Orders certification.
  • 4+ years of experience, including:
  • 2+ years providing EHR systems application maintenance/support.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a role model in providing an exceptional business partnership with customers, continuously adapting to their needs and feedback.
  • 2+ years of experience with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems (and/or healthcare applications).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into design specifications, follow technical change control processes, and maintain technical documentation.
  • Experience mentoring others to increase overall professional effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of database structures, data definitions, and data relationships.
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development or lifecycle for vendor-supplied software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium-sized IT projects and/or process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and influence multidisciplinary work groups in an application development or support setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently outline small project work plans and meet deadlines.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise customers, both internal and external.
  • Experience walking clients through the use of systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer business and technical requirements and issues, recommending solutions.
  • Design, build, test, and implement enhancements to meet functional requirements.
  • Provide production support and ongoing system troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and training.
  • Manage projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needs.
