About The Position

The Sr Application Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert supporting a capital funded initiative focused on expanding and optimizing Epic Cadence and MyChart scheduling functionality. This consultant will provide Sr level application expertise, lead solution design decisions, and ensure scalable, maintainable implementations aligned with the organization’s technology strategy.

Requirements

  • Community Connect experience
  • Certified within MyChart and Cadence
  • Sr level experience configuring Epic Cadence or MyChart (at least one required).
  • Epic Decision Tree Badge (or obtain within first week of onboarding).
  • Hands on experience building and supporting Decision Trees for appointment entry.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic scheduling architecture, including Open Scheduling and Direct Scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead solution design and make architectural recommendations within complex clinical scheduling environments.
  • Ability to independently support complex builds, system changes, and production issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Epic Cadence and/or MyChart certification (both preferred).
  • Experience supporting large scale scheduling access expansion initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Provider Directory and Capacity Management integrations within Cadence.

Responsibilities

  • Install new application components and configure Epic Cadence and MyChart functionality, including appointment entry Decision Trees.
  • Upgrade existing applications and validate configurations performed by Application Analysts.
  • Define and support go live and rollout schedules for scheduling expansions and related enhancements.
  • Provide advanced application support for new modules, enhancements, and functionality.
  • Lead analysis of required application modifications and coordinate technical changes with appropriate internal IT associates or Epic vendors.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and independently resolve high severity or complex production issues.
  • Interpret business and end user requirements to determine optimal technical solutions and identify potential risks, constraints, or downstream impacts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Epic scheduling design and strategy, ensuring solutions are scalable, extensible, and easy to maintain over time.
  • Advise on the best technical solution within the existing enterprise technology stack to meet business needs while adhering to architectural standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate operational and scheduling workflows to ensure alignment with Epic best practices and organizational governance.
  • Create and execute test plans for new builds, upgrades, and system modifications; document testing outcomes and validation results.
  • Proactively monitor application performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, access, and system reliability.
  • Maintain and contribute to application and workflow documentation and training materials as needed.
  • Work within an Agile delivery model, participating in Scrum ceremonies and executing work through Jira managed two week sprints.
  • Provide guidance, oversight, and knowledge sharing to Application Analysts and other team members as necessary.
