Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join their IS Epic team in the role of Epic Analyst II. This role plays a key part in the development, support, and rollout of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The Epic Analyst II is responsible for optimizing workflow processes by configuring and customizing Epic applications to meet the organization's specific needs. They collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support the implementation and ongoing use of Epic across the health system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The position involves participating in all phases of the system development life cycle, including gathering requirements, developing use cases, and evaluating software solutions. The analyst will bring relevant topics to discussions, speak to system settings and tasks, and develop, configure, and modify moderately complex information systems. They will create and maintain documentation of business requirements, workflows, and system configurations, and design, code/configure, test, and maintain application programs. This role coordinates all testing phases of Epic applications during implementations, upgrades, and optimizations, and supports existing application functionality while expanding support to additional areas as needed. Building strong working relationships with end users, business partners, and Epic project teams is crucial to ensure optimal system usage. The analyst will utilize Epic best practices to ensure system build meets organizational standards and workflows, provide hands-on training and support to end users, and serve as a key onsite Epic resource during system implementations and ongoing support activities. They will lead and facilitate team activities related to IT and clinical/business systems, provide second-level support for incidents and requests related to the Epic application, and serve as project lead for Epic software releases and new application implementations. Participation in on-call support is required as needed for system troubleshooting and issue resolution. The role involves leading and monitoring application testing and validation during system upgrades or new module implementations, and providing input into policies, procedures, training materials, and best practices related to Epic usage and system optimization. Collaboration with facility core team members to deliver hands-on training is also part of the role, as is building and maintaining strong relationships with end users and facility leadership.
