About The Position

At MaineGeneral Health, data drives better decisions, and seamless integration keeps patient care moving. We're seeking Epic Analysts – Data & Integration to join our Information Technology team and help design, implement, and support the Epic tools that connect applications, deliver actionable analytics, and enable secure data exchange across the health system. Whether your expertise is in interfaces, interoperability, reporting, or enterprise analytics, you'll play a critical role in ensuring clinicians and leaders have the information they need to provide exceptional care.

Requirements

  • As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete the Epic Sphinx Assessment. Assessment results will be considered alongside relevant experience, interview performance, and organizational needs as part of a holistic evaluation process.
  • Required Epic certification required within 12 months of hire (domestic travel required to obtain certification).
  • Experience supporting healthcare information systems, data integration, analytics, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with databases, reporting tools, interfaces, or systems integration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Employees hired into this role as part of the initial Epic implementation may be hired prior to obtaining Epic certification and will complete required certification through organization-sponsored Epic training.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Epic interfaces, integrations, and interoperability solutions.
  • Develop and optimize reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support clinical, operational, financial, and executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accurate, secure, and reliable data exchange.
  • Support interface troubleshooting, issue resolution, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in Epic upgrades, implementation projects, testing, and production support.
  • Build and maintain reporting solutions using Epic reporting tools and enterprise data repositories.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, testing plans, and support procedures.
  • Partner with project teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
