Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related) or Construction Management from an accredited institution; equivalent experience considered
5+ years management experience preferred
5+ years in construction or field engineering for industrial facilities (nuclear, chemical process, oil & gas, or large manufacturing), including contractor oversight and multi-discipline field execution
Hands-on experience with work package development, QA/QC inspections, and oversight of welding, mechanical, and electrical installations, along with startup and commissioning support
Familiarity with RFIs, NCRs, test plans, as-built documentation, and configuration control practices
Experience collaborating with EPC contractors and vendors, including progress tracking, change management, and field estimating
Working knowledge of DOE or NRC environments or similarly regulated industries, with the ability to operate within strict licensing and procedural frameworks
Practical application of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, IEEE/NEMA standards, with a strong safety leadership record in high-hazard environments
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance

Responsibilities

Lead a team of construction engineers and serve as the driving force behind field execution—translating complex designs into safe, efficient, and high-quality construction outcomes.
Act as the key interface between engineering, EPC leadership, and contractors.
Guide constructability reviews.
Oversee work package development.
Ensure seamless execution from planning through commissioning.
Manage cost, schedule, and contractor performance.
Enforce compliance with strict regulatory and safety standards.
Take ownership of field issue resolution, testing, and final turnover.
Continuously improve performance through lessons learned and smarter build strategies.
