About The Position

The EP Technologist participates as a procedure assistant in multiple areas of interventional procedures and helps ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow. The role works collaboratively with peer interventional staff throughout the Heart & Vascular Center and cross-trains as a scrub person in cardiac catheterization, structural heart procedures, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, or interventional neuroradiology, with a goal of training in three or more areas. The technologist also supports supply-chain standardization to reduce operational expenses, participates in data gathering for performance improvement and audit initiatives, and performs other job-related duties and projects as requested. Participation in an on-call rotation requires the ability to respond on-site within 30 minutes.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), RCES, ARRT, or CVT.
• American Heart Association health care provider BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to respond on-site within 30 minutes when participating in the on-call rotation.
• Level I licensure: Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist/ARRT-R or graduate of an RCIS or RCES program.
• Level II: certification in RCIS, RCES, ARRT CV, CI, or VI, plus more than two years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of two years of recent experience performing all aspects of cardiovascular lab procedures is preferred.
