About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional program manager for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM), the Sentinel weapon system. This program manager will work with a highly skilled and diverse team of specialty systems engineers responsible for the review of weapon system requirements and data from the prime contractor. This position will require the candidate to act as a section lead managing 5 - 7 personnel to support the branch manager while also acting as subject matter expert to provide guidance to the specialty sections of Nuclear Hardness and Survivability, TEMPEST, and Natural and Induced Environments. The candidate will also work hand-in-hand with USAF civilian and uniformed program managers and engineers on a daily basis and will provide frequent communication to both the government customer and the BAE branch lead. As such, the candidate must have a technical background in addition to knowledge of the program requirements. Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electronic engineering, Electrical engineering, physics, or mathematics.
  • 12 yrs directly related experience (10 yrs with MS degree).
  • At least 6 yrs progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
  • Proactive person with a positive attitude and a “team player” mentality.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
  • Possess a willingness to learn while also sharing your current knowledge/skills.
  • Experience with the Sentinel Weapon system.
  • Values brainstorming and changing the status quo.
  • Possesses both strategic thinking skills and tactical execution skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must have a Secret clearance and eligible for all required Special Access Programs.
  • US Citizenship status

Nice To Haves

  • An active DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities
