About The Position
Aligned Talent Acquisition is partnering with a nationally recognized law firm seeking an experienced Environmental & Tort Litigation Associate Attorney to join its practice in Chicago, Illinois. The role is suited to an attorney with a strong litigation background who wants to work on sophisticated environmental and tort matters, complex disputes, and build a long-term career within an established national law firm. Attorneys in this practice may work on environmental litigation and regulatory-related disputes; complex tort and civil litigation; discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation; litigation involving technical or scientific issues; case strategy and coordination with experienced litigation teams; and sophisticated matters involving corporate and commercial clients. The opportunity offers meaningful litigation responsibility, exposure to complex, high-stakes disputes, collaboration with experienced litigation attorneys, client interaction, and professional development. Compensation is competitive and based on experience and qualifications.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably involving environmental litigation, tort litigation, or complex civil disputes.
- Experience with legal research, pleadings, motions, discovery, and litigation strategy.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple litigation matters and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach to working with attorneys and clients.

- Experience with depositions, expert witnesses, or trial preparation.
