About The Position

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Environmental & Tort Associate Attorney opportunity with a sophisticated law firm in Chicago. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate interested in handling complex matters at the intersection of environmental law, toxic tort, product liability, and complex litigation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Experience with environmental litigation, toxic tort, product liability, or other complex litigation matters
• Experience handling matters in state and federal courts
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Strong client service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Handling complex matters at the intersection of environmental law, toxic tort, product liability, and complex litigation
• Managing discovery, depositions, expert witnesses, and case strategy
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents
• Managing multiple sophisticated matters and working collaboratively within a litigation team
