About The Position
The Part-Time Temporary Environmental Technician assists with vegetation management and environmental stewardship in City parks, natural areas, and cemeteries. Duties include invasive species control, native plant maintenance and restoration, vegetation monitoring, herbicide application, planting native plants in restoration areas, and operating hand tools, small equipment, and sprayers. The position also assists with routine grounds maintenance and other environmental projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a commercial pesticide applicator’s license
Nice To Haves
- College coursework or two years of experience in environmental studies, natural resources, horticulture, or a related field
